ERA’s Activities
With the participation of many stakeholders involved in businesses that utilize Distributed Energy Resources (DER)—including Specified Wholesale Supply Businesses (Aggregators)—ERA carries out the activities necessary to further expand DER utilization.

Improvement of the Electricity Business System
- Establish an electricity business system in which the characteristics of diverse DER are reflected in market transactions and DER operation rules.

Contribution to Solving Social Issues
- By combining diverse DER, contribute to stable electricity supply and demand, enhanced energy security, and the realization of carbon neutrality.
- Create a society in which DER are more familiar and widely used.

Enhancement of Cybersecurity
- Ensure cybersecurity so that it does not affect the stable supply of electricity.
- Develop flexible systems that take into account advances in IT and the characteristics of DER.
Initiatives to Realize the Vision
Holding Working Groups
(WGs)
Working Groups (WGs) will examine countermeasures for issues commonly faced by ERA members and compile policy recommendations.

Submitting Opinions to the Government and Related Organizations
ERA will provide timely and appropriate input on WG recommendations and on public consultation processes (e.g., public comments) for councils, study groups, and other forums organized by the government and related organizations.

Exchanging Opinions with the Government and Related Organizations
To promote DER utilization, ERA will hold regular exchanges of views with the government and related organizations.

Holding Study Meetings
To deepen understanding of domestic and international systems related to the rapidly evolving utilization of DER, ERA will hold regular study meetings.

Others
In addition, ERA will carry out other activities deemed necessary for the sound development of businesses that utilize DER.
